Greasy Combing Wool
In the 2010/11 season, greasy wool accounted for 86% of China's total wool imports from Australia. With the rapid expansion of wool processing in China it has become increasingly important to be a major player in the greasy combing wool supply chain. Fox and Lillie have established a large and very well respected greasy combing division, with exports annually of around 10 million clean kilos. This is a key strategic business in the Fox and Lillie portfolio because it integrates their export business with their grower services company, Fox and Lillie Rural (FLR). Fox and Lillie have established wonderful links between the FLR wool grower clients, and their own regular greasy wool clients around the globe. These links adds an exciting new dimension to Fox and Lillie's range of client services.

Woollen Types
Fox and Lillie have been specialist suppliers of wool for the Woollen (carding) sector for over 60 years.

Carbonised Wool
Fox and Lillie supply the full range of carbonised types for consumption in the woollen hosiery and weaving sectors, from the very best super style best length lambs wool (with very low CVD and high comfort factor) to good colour blends and the cheaper stain types. Fox and Lillie have a type that will satisfy the requirements of even the most discerning clients.

Scoured Wool
Offering a comprehensive range of types, and with the expertise gained from owning their own production facilities for many years, Fox & Lillie has remained a leader in the supply of scoured wools to the industry. They produce an extensive range of very low vegetable matter scoured lambs types for the hosiery industry, and also make the full range of scoured types used in the woollen weaving industry, from best colour fleeces to the poorer colour short stains.

Open Tops
Whilst Fox and Lillie have always supplied open tops to their many clients in Europe, it has been the establishment of their joint venture combing mill in China that has strengthened their ability to sell to the rest of the world. Fox and Lillie are producing superior open tops at their state of the art facility, mainly from Australian origin wool. However, they are currently also sourcing wool from New Zealand, South America, South Africa, and Europe in order to increase the type range. Their types range from 15.5 micron to 30.0 micron, and from 40hm to 55hm in super colour, good colour and discoloured, including the option to Superwash, and Basolan treat.

Greasy carding wool
With the increasing production capacity in China, Fox and Lillie has established itself as a key supplier to clients requiring greasy carding wools for use in the carbonising and open tops industry. They source wool from all over Australia, New Zealand, and other parts of the world, and supply greasy wools to suit the precise and varied requirements of the carding clients in China and other markets.
