Week Ending 3 May 2019 (Week 44)
The AWEX EMI finished 17¢ higher (+0.9%) in Australian currency and 23¢ lower (-1.6%) in US currency when sales resumed in Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle this week after the Easter break.
43,053 bales were on offer nationally, compared with 40,774 bales last sale. 6.4% of the offering was passed in.
AWEX reports that the value of the wool sold was $82.9 million ($2,058 per bale), taking the season total to $2.832 billion ($2,172 per bale).
