Role Summary
We’re refreshing our HR function with a new Head of HR and are recruiting for a new HR Co-Ordinator role.
Reporting into the Head of People and Culture, the HR Co-Ordinator will play an important role in coordinating HR processes and administration throughout the employee lifecycle from recruitment, onboarding, performance, people support through to exit of employees. You will work closely with all managers and employees, utilising your strong customer service skills, proactivity, drive and care for people to ensure positive outcomes.
The role will be responsible for maintaining our HR systems and assisting with Work Health and Safety processes. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects, helping to create an impactful, engaged, happy and inclusive workplace.
Flexibility is vital as the role may also support other areas of the business where required, with opportunity to learn about the wool industry and visit our regional sites.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have experience in HR Administration, Co-Ordination or People Operations and bring strong organisational and time management skills, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong empathy and care for people. You are driven and enjoy getting through your tasks and responding to people in a timely manner. You are brilliant in handling confidential information, enjoy problem solving and take pride in your work!
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and ideally have HR Systems experience. Understanding of AUS employment laws is preferred.
About the Role
Location: Melton based, with flexibility to visit other sites and travel on an ad-hoc basis
Position Type: Full-time
A typical day in the life of this role:
- Recruitment Co-Ordination and assisting with taking job briefs, defining job descriptions, placing advertisements, screening applications and end to end recruitment activities.
- Preparing offer of employment packs and scheduling onboarding activities.
- Coordinating regular People and HR Check ins.
- Working on HR Annual programs including performance reviews, engagement and other as required.
- Work Health And Safety co-ordination with care and timely connection with our people as issues are raised & co-ordination of SHERM our WHS system.
- Responding to people enquiries on policies and issues and escalating where appropriate
- Working on projects that are helping the business and our team
