Longerenong College students experience the wool industry

TWO Longerenong College students will do industry placement at Fox & Lillie Rural this month to get exposure to the wool industry.

Emma McCrae and Tom Roughead were awarded the 2016-17 Fox & Lillie Rural scholarship last year.

The scholarship is designed to provide opportunities for young students at a grass roots level in the industry, looking to fulfil a career in agriculture, and in particular wool.

Longerenong College campus head John Goldsmith said he was thrilled to have the Fox & Lillie Rural supporting young agricultural leaders.

“Not only financial support through generous scholarships but the organisation also gives recipients opportunities to work closely with the different aspects within the agricultural industry,” he said.
