Brokers visit biggest buyer

IT’S no secret that wool prices have returned to glory days so getting an insight into the workings of one of our biggest buyers is critical.

A group of 31 people from Fox and Lillie recently completed a tour to China. China buys 80 per cent of Australia’s wool and the tour was an opportunity to investigate the industry throughout the processing chain.

“The wool processing pipeline is evolving and improving all the time,” said Fox and Lillie brokerage manager, Eamon Timms. Daniel Charters and Jeff Angel from the Fox and Lillie Wagga store have both had extensive experience in the wool combing and trading industry and participated in the visit.
