Fox & Lillie will be exhibiting at RawAssembly later in May this year, a responsible and sustainable textile sourcing event, magazine and digital platform founded to share knowledge and awareness of responsible textiles that are regenerative, circular and ethical.
Held in Melbourne, Victoria, the event is expected to attract over 2000 relevant textile industry businesses, professionals and other visitors across the seven days.
Fox & Lillie operate Genesys, Australia’s largest ethical, sustainable and traceable wool program certified under the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS).
Genesys is over six years old and has been supporting a number of brands to source traceable wool and connecting them back to the woolgrowers who supply their brand.
One such local collaboration was with circular fashion label, A.BCH and circular knitwear manufacturer, MTK Australia.
Fox & Lillie took A.BCH’s, Courtney Holm and MTK Australia’s, Stephen Morris-Moody to visit Delatite Station, one of the farms who supplied A.BCH’s thermal woollen garments.
“There’s nothing quite like visiting the birth place of these fibres to understand how our garments came to be.” said Courtney Holm.
The origin of a fibre is so important to me and for A.BCH and our customers, so having the opportunity to visit Delatite Station and learn about their practises and passion for responsible wool farming was nothing short of magical and educational.”
Fox & Lillie’s exhibit at the RawAssembly event will be a great opportunity to connect with various members of the supply chain from raw production right through to fashion brands.
The event aims to reflect the global need for fashion and textile industries to build tomorrow together by adding responsibly focused ambition, transparency and innovation to any sourcing journey.
