Fox and Lillie are pleased to announce a $1500 donation to support the Farmers fightback organization.
We are not opposed to renewable energy in the form of windtowers, solar and hydro, however, we have already reached the required capacity (max 35%) in wind and solar construction to play their part in a utility scale reliable power generation system made up of renewables 35% max / nuclear or coal 40-50% / hydro 10-15% / gas 5-10%. In consideration of this we do not support the reckless 90% renewables target energy system the government is rolling out both state and federally as it will not provide Australia with the 100% reliable and affordable baseload power we have had in the past.
In the current rollout if the wind doesn’t blow and the sun doesn’t shine for more than a day or so parts of Australia are highly likely to be subjected to intermittent power. This government is knowingly constructing an expensive, heavily taxpayer subsidized, 2 tiered power system where they will be unable to guarantee 100% reliable and affordable baseload energy provision.
So we are proud to stand beside the farmers in supporting their right to fightback against reckless policy and the dubious legal overreach allowing the Victorian government to compulsorily acquire privately owned land for transmission corridors. In alliance with our position we are not prepared to sit back and watch our beautiful landscapes being blighted through renewable industrialization and commercial vandalism.
