The AWEX EMI finished at 1943¢, 4¢ lower (-0.2%) in Australian currency and was unchanged, in US currency at sales in Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle this week.
37,454 bales were on offer nationally, compared with 37,405 bales last sale. 12.8% of the offering was passed in, mostly due to a Pass-In Rate of 19.1% in the West. Equivalent values in the other Regions were 8.8% in the South and 12.4% in the North.
AWEX reports that the value of the wool sold was $66.1 million ($2,023 per bale), taking the season total to $2.605 billion ($2,179 per bale).
