Week Ending 17 February 2023 (Week 33) The AWEX EMI finished at 1374¢, 26¢ lower (-1.9%) in Australian currency and 23¢ lower (-2.4%) in US currency at sales in Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle this week. 57,196 bales were on offer nationally, on top of 49,324 bales last sale. It was the largest offering of the season, of which 16.6% of the offering was passed-in in the softer market. AWEX reports that the value of the wool sold was $77.7 million ($1578 per bale), taking the season total to $1,512.
