Fox & Lillie Rural hosts two Sheep Classing and Ram Selection workshops last week

Fox & Lillie Rural hosted two interactive Sheep Classing and Ram Selection workshops last week for wool growers, presented by Stuart Murdoch, the Stud classer at Roseville Park, Haddon Rig and Dunbogan Merino studs.

Andrew Wilkinson, David Hallam and Scott Hallam from Fox & Lillie Rural put together the two events which were held in Guyra and Walcha in New South Wales to make it more accessible for everyone in the surrounding region. Thank you to the two farms who kindly hosted the two workshops.

The events were designed to support interested wool growers with the tools and education to help improve on what they are already doing on farm in respect to Sheep Classing and Ram Selection. There was a strong turnout at both events, with Stuart Murdoch presenting on sire selection, sire husbandry, wool quality and softness, as well as presenting sheep for sale and tips for purchasing.

The feedback after the events was really positive from clients with many asking when the next one will be, so stay tuned for when we announce more educational events in the future.
