Pleasant Hills Community Group Podcast launch attracts over 100 guests

The Pleasant Hills Community Group hosted a lunch yesterday to celebrate the launch of their podcast which includes the history of the Pleasant Hills Football Club who folded in 1955.

Over 100 people attended the lunch, including Fox & Lillie Rural Wool Marketing Representatives Jeff Angel and Ron Creek. Fox & Lillie Rural was a sponsor of the lunch and was able to help the Community Group get a replica Pleasant Hills Football Club woollen football jersey made by connecting them with Silver Fleece, an Australian and family-owned knitwear manufacturer based in South Australia.

A big thank you goes out to Silver Fleece for producing the replica woollen jersey. The jersey was signed at the lunch by the surviving members of the 1953 Pleasant Hills football team. These surviving members feature in the podcast which goes into detail about the history of the club from 1905 to 1955.

It was well acknowledged at the lunch how fantastic it was to have Fox & Lillie Rural and Silver Fleece support the event and how both companies shared the similarities of being Australian, family owned, and both operating for over 70 years.

A fantastic effort from the Pleasant Hills Community Centre for organising such a great event and creating the podcast.
